Wilson Fire/Rescue Services’ specific ‘Emergency Operation’ procedure revolves around three shifts, and five specific sub-stations. Each firefighter serving with us is in a career, full time, position. Each shift, in each of the five different stations, throughout out the City of Wilson, is managed by our acting Commanders. Our organization is dedicated to the public’s safety, and operates efficiently 24 hours a day.
David B. Aycock - Battalion Commander (Battalion 1)
Commander David Aycock serves as the Battalion Commander for Wilson Fire/Rescue Services stationed at a Headquarters. He oversees the daily operations of shift personnel, five stations and the equipment located at those stations. James P Campbell – Battalion Commander (Battalion 2)
Commander James P Campbell is responsible for the daily operations of shift personnel. Daily shift operations include organizing and coordinating personnel and equipment in a variety of situations including responses to emergency incidents, training, fire prevention and personnel supervision. Commander Campbell also oversees the department’s Medical/First Responder program.
Commander Campbell is a graduate of Wilson Technical College with an AAS Degree in Fire Protection Technology and earned a BS Degree in Business Management and Organizational Development from Mount Olive College.
