Your home or business has access to dependable electricity, thanks to partial ownership in several power plants throughout North Carolina. Our natural gas supply is also reliable and, thanks to improving market conditions, our natural gas rates have dropped 40% since early 2009.
We're grateful that our customers give us high marks for service, which includes some of the lowest internal distribution costs in North Carolina. A recent study by ElectriCities showed that our distribution costs (electrical lines, logistics, etc.) were the second-lowest in eastern NC among public power cities and lower, on average, than private energy providers. The information also showed that our internal costs have dropped each of the past four years.
