The Veterans Day service will be broadcast live Wednesday, Nov. 11, beginning at 11 a.m., on the City of Wilson’s Channel 8 on Greenlight and other local cable systems. It will also be streamed live on the city’s Vimeo channel.

The ceremony will be rebroadcast daily at 11 a.m. through the month of November and at other times. It will also be available for streaming at the city’s website.

The event will include patriotic music and speakers. The main address will be by U.S. Navy Chief Warrant Officer III Larry Sherrill, who is stationed at the Marine Corps Air Station at Cherry Point.

Wilson Mayor Carlton Stevens will give a welcome and Miss Wilson 2020 Maddie McFarland will sing the National Anthem and other songs. The event will include a POW/MIA service and a flag-folding demonstration.
