Our planning and community revitalization team encourages and inspires civic engagement and sustainable development. With tools and resources that promote thoughtful planning, strategic development and historic preservation, we are here to help the City of Wilson meet the social, economic and environmental needs of present and future residents.

The Planning & Community Revitalization Department includes the divisions of Planning (Long Range), Community Development and Downtown Development. This department is also responsible for other functions, such as historic preservation, downtown parking management, and staffing several boards and commissions. The Planning & Community Revitalization Department works closely with Development Services, including Construction Standards, Land Development, Neighborhood Improvement, and Geographic Information Services.
