Wilson Energy is the fourth-largest municipal electric system in North Carolina, safely providing reliable electric service at the lowest reasonable cost, with exceptional customer service in an environmentally responsible manner for the citizens of the City of Wilson, Wilson County and portions of six surrounding counties. Wilson's community owned electric system supplies electricity to over 36,000 customer-owners through 1,400 miles of distribution lines. Wilson Energy's Natural Gas Division is one of only eight municipal gas distribution systems in North Carolina and consists of four supply points, eleven regulator stations, and over 406 miles of distribution lines that serve over 13,000 customer-owners, making us the third largest municipal gas system in North Carolina.
