2024 prepare before hurricane season tips

 Preparedness Plan:

  1. Get an insurance checkup & document your possessions. A few inches of water in a 1,000-square foot home could cost more than $10,000 in repairs and replacement of personal possessions. Homeowner’s insurance doesn’t cover most floods. Use our interactive Flood Zone look up map to see if your home is within a flood zone. Interactive Flood Zone Map link

  2. Put together a plan by discussing these 4 questions with your family, friends, or household to start your emergency plan.
  3. Create an Emergency Plan
  4. Download and fill out a family emergency plan or use them as a guide to create your own.
  5. Practice Your Plan with Family/Household
