Budget Billing spreads the cost of utility service evenly on a monthly basis over an annual period. Billing under this plan will not result in any greater or lesser payments to the City than would be the case with customary monthly billings.

The City will calculate the Budget Billing amount by taking the customer’s prior 12 months’ consumption and divide the number by 11. That amount will be the customer’s fixed utility bill for the next 11 months. In the 12th month the account will “settle up” and be reconciled to actual charges.

Residential customers can enroll in Budget Billing at any time throughout the year, but must wait one year from establishing services to enroll.
