Each year, Public Power Week is celebrated in appreciation of locally-owned and operated electric systems. Wilson joins more than 2,000 non-profit, community-owned utilities nationwide to celebrate the benefits of public power, including high reliability, fast response after outages, and local decision making in the best interest of the community.

Wilson Energy is recognized by the American Public Power Association (APPA) as a Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3), earning the Diamond status, the highest level for 2023-2026. The program recognizes utilities that demonstrate high proficiency in reliability, safety, workforce development and system improvement.
