StormTrap at Whirligig Station

Construction of a 850,000 gallon underground storage facility was completed in July 2020 under the City's Centre Brick Parking lot located between Goldsboro and Tarboro Streets. The project will help alleviate flooding and reduce water pollution by reducing flow as much as 80% while capturing trash and pollutants in a sand filtration system.

Hominy Swamp Debris Removal Project

The goal of this project is to remove fallen trees and debris blockages in the selected stream. This debris removal effort will take place in Hominy Swamp throughout the city limits section as indicated in the attachments below. ALL bids must be submitted by 2pm on August 14^th, 2020 in order to be considered for awarding.
